Symptoms during panic attacks?
I have GAD and currently in the process of changing my meds. and have been having panic attacks everyday. im just wondering if these symptoms are normal for panic or if there something else. I get heaviness that radiates from my face, to my shoulders to my legs. it feels like these body parts get so heavy, and ive never expierenced that before. i dont want to call the doctor just yet, because im such a hypochondriac. so pleas anyone who has had these symptoms, or if you think its something worth going and getting checked out. thanks

Get a second opinion, I did because I wasn’t happy. It turned out to be the best thing that I’d done because the first lot of medication were giving me side affects. I’m much better now I’ve changed.
Good luck.

If you are on new meds, this might be a side effect of the meds. I am just like you and never know when to ask for help. But it’s ok to ask, even you ask a lot.

When you pick up your prescriptions read the info that comes with them to determine what the side effects are. This could cut down on some of the panic just by knowing what is a possibility of happening.
I don’t know what GAD is but panic attacks manifest differently in different people. Some have a warm sensation where others feel like they are going to die and suddenly have intense fear of heights etc.

I also have panic attacks. It sounds like symptoms of a panic disorder, so I wouldn’t bother having you contact your dr. to tell him untill your next appt. eepecially if your a hypochondriac…..
