If you have panic attacks frequently, when you go out, is this a common characteristic of panic disorder?

Is this panic disorder, is it healthy, unhealthy, or a sign of deeper emotional issues?

It is a panic disorder called agoraphobia. It can cause some people to be disabled. I worked with a man who has this disorder and he had to get help in order to get to work for the first few weeks. He had difficulty going anywhere unfamiliar. He was fine at work after he had his commute and responsibilities embedded as routines. Then, his reponsibilities changed and he resigned. He did not seek regular treatment and that was his downfall. People with anxiety disorders should take meds so they can function in society. Too many people attach a stigma to this. If you have heart problems, you take pills. If you have a cold, you take pills. It should be the same if you have a brain problem. You take pills and you feel better.

Yeah, that is a panic disorder. It isn’t not healthy but you can get medicine to help the panic attacks to not happen or just happen less frequently and less noticeable. Also sometimes it can show a sign or deeper emotional issues but not always.

How much do you think about the words "panic disorder"?

Do you deal with personal and relationship issues or shove them under the rug? Obviously there is there is some sort of issue but before someone else ends up informing you what the issue is based on there own, ya might want to find a positive solution for the stress by reflecting and finding a solution.

Examples: There is legitamate stress that may need a solution and then there are those who feel slighted all the time and bring it on to themselves. Also maybe more family time (roots) or relaxation IS honestly needed if there is zero time spent. Or, perhaps a relationship is lacking and you’ve listened to people that tell you that relationships fix themselves. I doubt it feels too good going thru it but as adults we do have to sort things out. Take care.
