do any of these symptoms accompany your panic attacks?

i used to have panic attacks quite regularly, they came out of nowhere, all i can pin it down to really is a plane flight to greece…ive never had a problem flying but this time i really spazzed out, i even spilled boiling hot coffee on the person next to me :$
anyway like i said i don’t have them anymore, but when i did it used to feel like i was having a heart-attack/going to faint and they usually came on in crowded places/buses.
but now i don’t have them, i just feel dizzy, permanently exausted and i always have a headache.
are these symptoms linked?
if not, what might have caused this?
thanks x

Hi.
It definitely sounds like panic attacks. I get them too, but only when I’m encountered with math. I was never able to do math, therefore, I got horrible panic attacks and anxiety problems.
Obviously, your panic attack was from your flight to Greece. Although you’ve never had any problems with flying before, its a good possibility that you had just developed a fear to fly. Its just like somebody with an allergic reaction, you may not be allergic to say.. dust, but tomorrow its a possibility that you can be allergic to it.
The exact same thing goes for panic attacks and anxiety problems, you may not have a fear of something at first, like flying for example, but then your next flight you might notice something about the plane that you didn’t notice last time, and it just really, really scares you or makes you uneasy.
Dizziness and exhaustion are definitely symptoms of a panic attack, I don’t see what else it could be.

the severity of the stress you are feeling would be what would determine just dizzy vs. actually passing out. loss of coordination (spilling the coffee) is another common symptom.

dizzy and a headache could mean you need an eye checkup too. With feeling dizzy all the time along with a headache would make me feel exhausted as well.
Start with the simple stuff first. Has it been a while since a vision checkup? If so, get thee to an optometrist.
Also can be allergies. Anything nasal with me effects my ears and then my inner ears and I walk like a drunken sailor. Inner ear infection can cause all 3 symptoms.
Rather than drive yourself nuts, get a checkup and a good doctor can rule out things like high blood pressure, diabetes, the usual suspects for odd symptoms.

I’ve never had a headache, but that symptom is very likely to accomplany your panic attacks.
I had a huge anxiety attack lesson which helped me a lot to understand why I felt the way I felt, which took the edge off of me feeling like I was gunna die whenever I had an attack.

Here’s what happens (sorry if it’s long)

So our bodies have a fight or flight system, which we need in case we really are in danger. But with people who get anxiety attacks, for whatever reason, this fight or flight response in the brain (coming from one of our nervous systems) goes off when it doesn’t really have to.

From then on it is a domino affect of anxiety responses.

The attack goes like this: When this response in your brain triggers, extra blood rushes to your stomach in order to protect your internal organs. People with anxiety, an EXTRA amount of blood goes to the stomach, taking this blood from places like the brain, hands, etc.

This is why a lot of people get dizzy, feel sick, throw up, get tingly and numb in their limbs, and can even be why you get headaches.

Unfortunately I have them also, but I have controlled them. Lately they have been trying to come back. I think worrying about them coming back may cause physical symptoms like you have. Don’t rule out that you could have something else though.
Your best bet is to see your doctor and make sure it isn’t physical and if it’s not see if you can pinpoint what about the trip to Greece made you spazz out.
